Training Opportunities
- National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD): through the University of Chicago’s institutional membership to the NCFDD, UChicago faculty, graduate students, and postdocs have access to a ‘virtual mentoring program.’ The program features monthly core curriculum designed to improve work-life balance through access to weekly emails, moderated monthly writing challenges, and a library of videotapes, webinars, and articles aimed at increasing their research and writing productivity. The institutional membership also provides access to peer mentoring and the option of having a monthly accountability partner for their writing projects. Faculty members can also get a discounted membership to the Faculty Success Program, a semester-long writing boot-camp with access to online accountability and tracking software and writing partners across the country.
